FOOD SECURITY AND HEALTH FESTIVAL DAY

Food Security and Health Festival Day is a day organized by Community Initiatives Support Services where members of groups, stakeholders and collaborators can exchange knowledge and experiences.

Different areas supported by CISS; that is Seme, Alego, Gem and Rachuonyo East Sub-Counties were able to carry out the Festival to showcase the different activities the Organization supports them in.

The farmers in different women groups, youth Groups and Schools were able to show the Stakeholders and collaborators the different processes involved in beekeeping, the benefits of plants in the Kitchen Gardens, sorghum planting; its nutritional value for human consumption, the woodlots and their benefits, the Upesi Jikos and why they are more advantageous as well as the aspect of energy saving, table banking within the groups and benefits, Hand washing Kits and their importance, as well as different activities the youth group carry.
