OUR TEAM

Robert Owino is a development practitioner specializing in rural communities. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Community development from Daystar University in 1999. He undertook his Master’s degree in Research and Development in Higher Education from Kassel University in Germany in 2012. Robert is currently the Director at Community Initiative Support Services (CISS) overseeing the implementation of projects focusing on sustainable development. He joined CISS in 2014 as the Programmes Coordinator until 2019. He worked on a number of national and international research projects while based at the International Center for Higher Education Research Germany. Robert is a Senior Fellow of African Good Governance Network, AGGN comprises a group of distinguished African academics who have either studied or are still studying in Germany. Due to their qualifications, they are expected to be among the future decision-makers dedicated to Good Governance principles in sub-Saharan Africa. He is also the Founder of Africa Higher Education Research Institute, which is a research-based institution focusing relevance of Africa higher education sector to the development goals of the community

Mrs. Herrine Kawaka has a certificate in Agriculture and Home economics from Embu University College. She has extensive experience in the field of development spanning 20 years. Mrs. Herrine is the team leader and Programs Officer in charge of Rachuonyo East field area. She is practical, results oriented as has been noticed in her 10 years of service in CISS.

Mr. Festus Ogada has been with CISS for 8 years and presently works Programs Officer in charge of Seme sub County office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics from Egerton University, has completed a number of courses in development studies and has a passion for empowering the community. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Project Management.

Mr. Jared Onyango graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Arts from University of Nairobi. He works as the Programs Officer in charge of Alego Usonga/ Gem field areas. He is passionate about helping the needy to improve their livelihood. He joined CISS at the beginning of 2014.
